Overview
Committed specialists who work only for you, without the hiring overhead
Hiring a permanent specialist is slow, and the risk sits entirely with you: the search, the interviews, the offer that falls through, the ramp-up. A Dedicated vEmployee removes that risk while keeping the thing you actually wanted, which is one person who learns your product, sits in your ceremonies and treats your priorities as their own.
Each vEmployee is a certified, senior practitioner assigned full-time to your organisation. They use your tools, join your stand-ups and report into your delivery rhythm. The only real difference from a direct hire is that Baknet carries the recruitment, the vetting and the day-to-day management. That work runs inside an ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 9001 certified practice, so the security controls and quality standards are already in place before your engagement starts.
How it works
From role brief to embedded specialist
We start from the role
Tell us the skills, seniority and working hours you need, and we match a vetted practitioner from our talent pool, rather than handing you a pile of CVs to sift.
Onboarding in days
Because we match from an existing pool of vetted practitioners, your vEmployee is embedded in days rather than the months a permanent hire usually takes.
A monthly delivery cycle
Once embedded, the engagement runs on a monthly cycle. Your vEmployee uses your tools, joins your stand-ups and reports into your delivery rhythm, with daily status reporting and engagement-manager oversight built in.
Depth across disciplines
Available disciplines span senior penetration testers, cloud and network security engineers, senior data and software QA engineers, ETL and data engineers, BI and analytics QA, and automation, performance and accessibility specialists. A vEmployee can also pull in colleagues from another Baknet vertical when a task needs a second skill set.

Why it works
Why it works for you
Commitment, not a shared resource
Your vEmployee is not split across five accounts. They work on your priorities alone, and that focus compounds: product knowledge, domain context and relationships all deepen month after month.
You skip the recruitment lottery
No job adverts, no drawn-out interview loops, no risk of a hire who looks right on paper and struggles in practice. We have already done the vetting, and if a match is not working we replace it.
Delivery stays accountable
Daily reporting and engagement-manager oversight mean quality is watched by someone whose job is to watch it. Problems surface early, while they are still small.
You keep control of the model
Scale a single seat or several, choose the location mix, and adjust as your roadmap changes. You hold the priorities; we hold the overhead.
One committed specialist inside your team, backed by our vetting and governance, without the cost and risk of carrying the hire yourself.
Questions, answered
Frequently asked
How is a Dedicated vEmployee different from Engineers-on-Demand?
A Dedicated vEmployee is a standing, full-time seat for continuous work. Engineers-on-Demand is project-based, sized to a defined scope or a delivery peak and released when the work is done. Many clients use both.
How quickly can someone start?
Because we match from an existing pool of vetted practitioners, onboarding typically happens within days of agreeing the profile, not the weeks or months a direct hire would take.
What if the person is not the right fit?
The engagement manager monitors quality throughout, and if a match is not working we arrange a replacement. Carrying that risk is part of what you are paying us for, not something that falls back on you.
Can a vEmployee work on-site?
Yes. Offshore, onshore and on-site arrangements are all available, and you can set the working hours that overlap best with your teams.
What disciplines can a vEmployee cover?
The pool spans senior penetration testers, cloud and network security engineers, senior data and software QA engineers, ETL and data engineers, BI and analytics QA, and automation, performance and accessibility specialists. Because Baknet works across security, data assurance, software QA and people under one roof, a vEmployee can draw on colleagues from another vertical when a task needs a second skill set.
How is quality managed day to day?
Every engagement includes a non-billable engagement manager who oversees delivery and steps in if standards slip, alongside daily status reporting so output stays visible. You do not pay extra for that oversight; it is part of how we work.
How does pricing work?
Engagements are priced on a straightforward monthly basis per seat, scoped to the seniority and disciplines you need. We provide a clear, obligation-free proposal before anything starts, and there is no separate charge for engagement-manager oversight.
How do you handle confidentiality and data security?
We work under a mutual non-disclosure agreement and align to your access, device and data-handling policies. Baknet operates an ISO/IEC 27001 certified information security management system and an ISO 9001 certified quality management system, so recognised controls are in place before your vEmployee begins.
Can I scale the arrangement, and how does it fit with our in-house team?
You can start with a single seat and add more as your roadmap grows, or adjust the location mix as priorities change. A vEmployee works inside your existing team and ceremonies, complementing your permanent staff rather than replacing your control of the work.
